Two weeks ago Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc on parts of South Carolina, Florida and the Western Carolina mountain region. Flood waters have totally destroyed areas such as Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and other small remote towns. The city of Asheville, along with other cities, are still without power, running water, and are facing months if not years or rebuilding what was destroyed by the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Music stars Luke Combs, Eric Church, James Taylor and Billy Strings will perform a benefit concert at Bank of America Stadium to raise money for communities in western North Carolina devastated by Hurricane Helene. The concert will be held on October 26th. More artists will be added to the line-up in the coming weeks. Proceeds from the concert, including sponsorships, will be split between organizations selected by Combs as well as Church’s Chief Cares Foundation. Combs’ half will go to Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, and a to-be-announced organization. Tickets go on sale October 10th at 10AM.
