Did you know Charlotte has some pretty cool spots to purchase an array of plant varieties for your home, office, or other cool locations where one might put a plant. You do not have to have a green thumb to take care of a plant. There are simple options to choose from that require very low maintenance. Here are a few plant spots to pick from where some include more than just buying plants.
The Cactus Club used to be a mobile plant shop but is now a brick and mortar located in Plaza Midwood at 909 Central Avenue, Unit 1. They offer a wide selection of cacti, rare aroids and tropical house plants. Because the plant name is in the name of the shop, you must purchase a funky shaped cactus. They are open Tuesday-Saturday 11AM-6PM and Sunday 12-3pm.
PlantHouse, located in Dilworth @ 2452 Park Road, Unit D, immediately offers you an array of plant options as you walk in the front door with their floor to ceiling wall where you can pick out a plant or get matched to a plant based on your lifestyle. One of their bestsellers is the DIY terrarium kit. It is recommended to take advantage of their complimentary potting service when you purchase an item. They are open Monday-Friday 11AM-8PM, Saturday 10AM-8PM, and Sunday 11AM-6PM.
Paradiso is an Atlanta-based popup located in Optimist Hall, next to Mezeh. You can expect tons of beginner-friendly plants, terrariums, candles, plant and gardening books, pots, other plants and home goods. This is the spot for buying a gorgeous pot to go with your plant. They are open Sunday-Thursday 11AM-9PM and Friday-Saturday 11AM-10PM.
Twigs and Figs, located at 15205 John J. Delaney Drive, Suite B, offers an array of plants, eclectic home decor and DIY workshops. There’s also a bar with juices, tea and kombucha. The plant recommendation here is an air plant. You can reserve a seat in one of the themed DIY workshops or build your own terrarium anytime during store hours in the workshop space. They are open Monday-Saturday 10AM-8PM and Sunday 11AM-6PM.
Grow has two locations one in Camp North End (270 Camp Road, Ste. 101) and one in Davidson (202 S. Main Street, Suite C). Grow sells plants, planters and other accessories like candles and baskets. Purchase a precious little plant with streaks of purple throughout the leaves called a tradescantia nanouk.
