The weather is finally warming up and with spring right around the corner, Charlotteans are ready to get outside. Here’s a list of some of the Charlotte regions bars and restaurants with patios for outside vibes.
Canopy Cocktails and Gardens, located at 118 East Kinston Avenue in South End, features a massive outdoor seating area with its own fully stocked bar, plus another bar right inside. Canopy is also situated next to the Rail Trail, making it an easy stop for a post-walk drink. They are open Wednesday-Sunday 4PM-2AM, closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Charlotte Beer Garden, located at 1300 South Tryon Street, is a sprawling three-story bar that has 436 beer taps. It is the first sister site to the original Raleigh Beer Garden. They are open Monday-Friday 11AM-2AM, Saturday-Sunday 10AM-2AM.
Clubhouse Kitchen & Cocktails, is located at 2308 Central Avenue, next to Pinhouse. They are a restaurant and bar from the team behind PARA in Plaza Midwood. They are open Tuesday 5PM-11PM, Wednesday-Friday 5PM-midnight, Saturday 5PM-10PM and Sunday 5PM-midnight.
Flower Child is located at 1537 Camden Road, next to the light rail in South End. This fast-casual chain offers healthy options like salads, bowls and wraps, plus is a prime location for people watching. They are open daily from 11AM-9PM.
Hello, Sailor is located about 25 miles from Charlotte at 20210 Henderson Road in Cornelius. Hello, Sailor is a fitting venue for a lakeside date or friends outing. Try their tiki cocktails, share popcorn shrimp and enjoy the sunset over Lake Norman. They are open Wednesday-Sunday from 11AM-9PM.
Monday Night Brewing Garden Co. is located at 2217 South Tryon Street, across from Inner Peaks. In line with its nickname, the outside of Garden Co. has a beer garden feel, complete with numerous picnic tables and fire pits. It is both dog and kid-friendly, too. They are open open Monday-Thursday 12PM-11PM, Friday-Saturday 12PM-2AM and Sunday 12PM-9PM.
Noble Smoke, located at 2216 Freedom Drive, is the flagship barbecue spot by Jim Noble, the owner of Rooster’s and Bossy Beulah’s. They serve up pork, brisket, ribs and has a spacious 200-person patio and biergarten. They are open Sunday-Thursday from 11AM-9PM, Friday and Saturday from 11AM-10PM.
NoDa Company Store, located at 3221 Yadkin Avenue, is a neighborhood beer and wine shop that offers a vibrant patio with tiki umbrellas and porch swings. Sip on their house-made sangria during your next visit. They are open Tuesday-Thursday 4PM-9PM, Friday 3PM-10PM, Saturday 12PM-10PM and Sunday 12PM-7PM.
NoDa Company Canteen, located at 1824 Statesville Avenue in Camp North End, is NoDa Company Store’s “little sister”. They have a similar tropical feel with a sprawling patio overlooking the Boileryard. They are open Wednesday-Thursday from 12PM-9PM, Friday-Saturday from 12PM-10PM and Sunday from 12PM-8PM. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Pins Mechanical is located at 307 West Tremont Avenue. The sprawling 23,000-square-foot game bar has a ground-level and rooftop patio, each with skyline views. Expect a lineup of old-school entertainment like foosball, pinball, ping pong, duckpin bowling and retro arcade games. They are open Monday-Wednesday 4PM-12:30AM, Thursday 4PM-1:30AM, Friday-Saturday 12PM-2:30PM and Sunday 12PM-12:30AM.
Pinhouse is located at 2306 Central Avenue. From the owners of Hoppin’, this two-story Plaza Midwood bar offers two outdoor patios overlooking Veterans Park. Inside, you will find duckpin bowling and a self-serve bar with 72 taps. They are open Tuesday 4PM-10PM, Wednesday-Thursday PM-11PM, Friday 3PM-12AM, Saturday 12PM-12AM and Sunday 12PM-10PM.
RuRu’s Tacos + Tequila, located at 715 Providence Road, is situated inside the historic Reynolds-Gourmajenko House, a Mediterranean-style Myers Park mansion built in 1926. You will find the patio and outdoor bar in the old courtyard. They are open Monday-Thursday 11AM-10PM, Friday-Saturday 11AM-11PM and Sunday 12PM-10PM.
Sixty Vines, located at 1415 Vantage Park Drive, in the Vantage South End building near Waterbean Coffee and Uptown Yolk. Sixty Vines is one of Charlotte’s newest fine dining spots known for their variety of wines. You can choose from 60 wines on tap plus cider, beer, cocktails and mocktails. Their open-air patio is known for its comfortable couches.
SouthBound and The Music Yard, are located at 2433 South Boulevard. You will find spacious patios at each of these spots along South Boulevard, including Southbound (a SoCal Taco restaurant) and The Music Yard (a live music venue). State of Confusion is located at 3500 Dewitt Lane, across from Phat Burrito and Supperclub South End. From the owners of Stir in South End, State of Confusion has a patio that’s a must-visit in LoSo. There is a grill, fire pits, large games and picnic tables. If you want to elevate your view, check out the rooftop patio. They are open Monday-Thursday 11AM-midnight, Friday 11AM-1AM, Saturday 10AM-1AM and Sunday 10AM-12AM.
