This week’s featured activities are geared towards the youth; however, I am almost positive parents and adults will find these activities to their liking and enjoyment. Below is a list of what I believe to be the top five places to take your young ones to this summer. Have fun and enjoy!
Explore the Raptor Trail at The Carolina Raptor Center. There you can see over 20 species of birds along the trail and learn all about them.
Take a tour and learn all about tigers and other endangered species at Tiger World Endangered Wildlife Preserve. Tiger World is a nonprofit animal conservation and educational center dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and preservation of exotic animals
The summer would not be complete without a visit to Carowinds! From the waterpark, roller coasters, Camp Snoopy, and funnel cake, there is something for all ages to enjoy!
Want to see a movie in a classic theater?? Taking the family to see a movie at the Gem Theater is sure to be a hit. The Gem Theatre, known as the Showplace of Kannapolis, is one of the oldest single-screen movie theatres still operating today. Currently playing is Black Widow.
The local libraries are a great resource for learning, socializing, arts and crafts, storytelling and more. It is important in addition to having fun that reading is incorporated into a child’s life which reading is fun as well!
