The Queen City has emerged in the last decade as being a hub for local breweries. It seems a new brewery opens every month in and around Charlotte. There are a host of good local breweries that offer amazing craft beers. Here is a list of my top 5. Enjoy!!
Brewers at 4001 Yancey is a 28,000-square-foot dual-branded Victory and Southern Tier brewery located in South End. It offers 120 taps with 40 different offerings and is a full-service restaurant.
Pilot Brewing is a 1,900-square-foot neighborhood brewery with small-batch, experimental beer located in Plaza Midwood. They focus on using local ingredients and community resources to craft their beers.
Legion Brewing South Park is an upscale brewery, taproom and restaurant. It is located in a massive 2-story space. The highlight of the 12,000 square foot space is the circular, 16 seat bar.
Pour Taproom is a self-serve bar with locations in Charlotte, Durham, Asheville and Charleston. They offer 118 taps with half being from NC and the other half from various places in the world. It is known for being the largest self-serve taproom in the U.S.
Town Brewing is the first brewery in the Wesley Heights neighborhood located next to Rhino Market. Town Brewing offers a full service kitchen that specializes in shareables and small plates.
