One of my favorite areas to hang out in in Charlotte is the SouthPark area. There are a variety of things to see, do and eat in SouthPark. Below are 5 things that top my list of what to do in this area.
Book a “staycation” at the Hyatt Centric SouthPark. This new hotel offers an elegant experience with eateries, bars, lounge and more. The new rooftop bar, Mizu, is set to open during the month of August, and will offer impeccable views.
Shop local stores like Boem, Capital and Poole Shop. SouthPark has some of the best shopping in Charlotte from local designers and shops to SouthPark Mall where you will find big named stores that you would normally find in shopping malls.
Go to brunch at Cafe Monte, one of my favorite brunch locations. This place is a classic Charlotte brunch staple. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I recommend you get some hot beignets for the table that will go nicely with anything you choose on the menu. Treat yourself to a pitcher of Bellini or fancy iced coffee which they can add a spirit of choice if you’d like.
Get a Juicy Jay from Legion Brewing. Juicy Jay pairs nicely with a giant pretzel with beer cheese. The taproom is opened at reduced capacity from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Brunch is offered from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sundays.
Explore Reids Fine Foods and have a nice picnic in Symphony Park. You may get the opportunity to listen to live music in the park as there are concerts there throughout the summer.
