Charlotte is known for attracting a variety of diverse events and festivals. Due to COVID many of the events had to postpone or cancel during 2020. Some of the festivities did resume during 2021. Below is a list of five popular events and festivals coming to Charlotte over the next few weeks and months.
Charlotte Pride will run from August through November which is a major extension from the weeklong celebration that has been previously been done. Charlotte Pride is the Queen City’s way to celebrate, commemorate, empower, and uplift the Charlotte community. This year there will be more unique opportunities, activities, and programs than ever before!
Charlotte Shout! is returning to Center City September 17 – October 3, 2021. Charlotte SHOUT! is an aspirational multi-week festival designed to showcase the Charlotte community by celebrating Charlotte’s creativity and innovation through art, music, food, and ideas. Located primarily in Uptown Charlotte, SHOUT! will feature exceptionally curated local and world-wide programming.
The Taste of Charlotte is a three-day food festival, typically held during the summer, being held October 1 – October 3, 2021. It features over 100 samples from area restaurants and various performances and activities. There will be a large variety of local, regional, and national partners who will provide information, coupons, and free stuff!
The Carolina Renaissance Festival runs on Saturdays & Sundays, October 2 – November 21, 2021 from 10AM-5:30PM (rain or shine). Time travel to the greatest party since Camelot! Enjoy an outdoor autumn stroll through the Village of Fairhaven where history comes alive with non-stop, day-long, immersive and interactive entertainments! The open air Artisan Market is filled with arts and crafts, games and rides, jousting knights on horseback, falconry, mermaids, fairies, dragons, feasting and so much more!
The Hola Charlotte Festival is on October 9, celebrated during National Hispanic Heritage month which runs from September 15 – October 15, 2021. Hola Charlotte is the largest Hispanic Heritage celebration in Charlotte highlighting Latin American culture and all its richness. The event engages both general market and Hispanics of all backgrounds and ages.
