Haunted by Black Lagoon @ Blackstage Lounge is located at 2433 South Boulevard. This popular Charlotte speakeasy is decorated for the spooky Halloween season. You can expect themed cocktails, Halloween decorations and an overall good, spooky time. They are open Tuesday-Saturday, 5PM-midnight, now through October 31st. The cost is free to enter. Reservations are not required.
Tunnel of Terror Haunted Car Wash @ Aquawave Express Car Wash is located at 6415 Wilkinson Boulevard in Belmont. It’s going to be hard not to scream while getting your car cleaned at this car wash. Guests can expect fog, flashing lights and appearances (or jump scares) from well-known horror film characters. The Tunnel of Terror is running now, every Friday through Sunday 7PM-11PM. The cost is $30. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Holy Angels.
Frightmare! on Dam Road @ Mr. Putty’s Fun Park is located at 233 Dam Road in Tega Cay. This haunted experience is kid-friendly haunted mini golf. There will be live actors and open-air scares. They are operating starting Friday, October 13th, every Friday and Saturday night through October 28th.
Hickory Grove Haunted Trail is located at 4064 Mountain View Street in Gastonia. For more than 20 years, started by a group of friends, what started out as a crazy idea is now a haunted tradition. Settled in the backwoods of the South Fork River, the Hickory Grove Haunted Trail is one of the original and oldest haunted attractions in the Charlotte, N.C. area. Enter the haunted woods if you dare. They are operating every weekend in October and select weeknights.
The 901 Nightmare located at 3520 Mount Holly Road in Edgemoor, SC. Come face-to-face with your worst nightmares as you wander deep into the woods. This outdoor maze of terror takes you through decrepit shacks, old barns and an abandoned insane asylum. The entire attraction is about 20 minutes long. If you find yourself alone in the woods, will anyone hear your screams? They operate every Friday-Sunday in October from 7PM-10PM. The cost is $20 for general admission, $40 for fast pass, $60 for nightmare passes.
Boogerwoods is located at 725 Phaniel Church Road in Rockwell, NC. You can’t spell Boogerwoods without “boo.” On this haunted trail, two guides will lead you through a series of 15 scenes; some with loud music, total darkness, enclosed spaces and jump scares. The attraction takes 35 to 40 minutes to walk through. They are operating October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28. Tickets go on sale at Boogerwoods each day of the attraction starting at 2PM. Tickets are only good for that night and are non-refundable or transferable. Cash-only is accepted.
Scarrigans Farms Haunted Trail @ Carrigan Farms is located at 1213 Oakridge Farms Parkway in Mooresville, NC. The 170-acre stretch of woods behind the quarry is transformed into one of the scariest haunted trails in the region. From start to finish, it goes a little over one mile and takes about an hour to complete. Reservations are required. They operate every weekend through the end of October. Tickets are $30 on Fridays, $40 on Saturdays and $20 on Sundays. $5 deposit online, only cash accepted at the door.
Midway Wicked Woods is located at 1425 Midway Drive in Statesville, NC. They call it the Wicked Woods because of a man by the name of Wicked Willie who roams the Midway campgrounds looking for trespassers. If you’re brave enough, head to Midway Wicked Woods to find out if the legend is true. They operated October 13, 14, 15, 22, 29 and 30 from 8PM-10PM & October 20, 21, 27, 28 and 31 from 8PM-11PM. The cost is $25 for general admission and $35 for VIP fast passes. Onsite tickets are cash only.
Aw Shucks 13th Acre Haunted Trail is located at 3718 Plyler Road in Monroe, NC. This haunted trail is an outdoor experience, and it’s not for the faint of heart. The trail takes about 35 minutes to walk through; that is, if you don’t run the whole way. If you want a scare and a wholesome time, opt for the combo ticket which gives you access to the haunted trail and the rest of Aw Shucks farm. They operate Fridays and Saturdays in October 6PM-11PM, Sundays and Halloween (Tuesday, Oct. 31) 6PM-10PM. The cost is $25 general admission, $40 fast pass, $65 VIP admission.
Kersey Valley Spookywoods Haunted House is located at 1615 Kersey Valley Road in Archdale, NC. From the moment you arrive, you’re fair game to all the haunted creatures that reside on Kersey Valley land. Spookywoods has been a North Carolina tradition since 1985, and it’s said to be one of America’s most famous scary attractions. There’s a haunted trail, a dark ride tram, outdoor laser tag, escape rooms, zipline tours, axe throwing, a corn maze and other attractions like a live DJ, concessions and adult beverages. They operate weekends in October and Halloween night 8PM-11PM. Tickets range from $25-$45 for general admission depending on the date, $55 for VIP and $75 for immediate (no wait, includes a group photo). The parking lot opens at 6:30PM and is $10 per car, cash only.
