As February is coming to a quick end, that means St Patrick’s Day is just around the corner. Charlotte events are back and in full swing for this green holiday! Below are a few events going on for St. Patrick’s Day. Please check out a full list here of activities going on during the month of March to celebrate St. Patty’s Day!
Charlotte St Patrick’s Day and Festival is returning in 2023, under a new organization. The parade and festival (formerly known as the Charlotte Goes Green Festival) will take place March 11th, 2023. The parade begins at Tryon Street and 9th Street at 11AM and proceeds down Tryon Street. The festival will take place from 10AM to 6PM on Tryon Street from 3rd Street to Levine Avenue of the Arts, where the festival stage will be. The festival will also feature artisan vendors, food trucks and activities for children. There is no admission charge to the event, but some of the activities have costs associated with them.
Green River Revival is an annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. It takes place Saturday, March 11th, 2023, 9AM to 5PM. Also included is the Color Me Green 5K Trail Run, during which you can avoid or run toward the green powder being thrown at you. There will also be live music, and, a highlight, the river will turn green. This is a free event, but parking is $6, and there is a cost to participate in the race ($40-$47).
Baxter Village/Fort Mill Spring Festival & St. Patrick’s Parade takes place Saturday, March 18th, 2023, at Baxter Village Town Center, 900 Market Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina. The festival takes place from 2PM to 6PM, the parade begins at 5PM. It’s free to participate and you do not need to register in advance to participate in the parade. Just show up at 4:15PM in the north lot of the Baxter-Close YMCA in Baxter Village with your float, decorated golf cart/Jeep/truck, wrapped vehicle, walking units, church or youth organizations, scooters and more. There will be prizes and gift cards for the best parade entries.
Old Town St. Patrick’s Day Festival is Rock Hill’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival. It returns on March 18th, 2023, from 4PM to 9PM. Enjoy live music, amusements, inflatables, balloon art, face painting, food truck vendors and more. It is free to attend but there is a charge for some of the activities. There will be live music, inflatables, balloon art, face painting, food trucks vendors and more.
Luck of the Village @ Birkdale Village is presenting its second annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Friday, March 17th, 2023 from 6PM to 9PM. Enjoy an evening of live music, dancing, and festive gear. Beer will be available from Lost Worlds Brewing. The event will take place at The Square, near Loft and Banana Republic. Birkdale Village suggests that you park in surface lots near Regal, Chipotle, Midwood Smokehouse, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, and parking decks. Consider using ride shares or carpooling.
