Tis the season where your relatives and friends come to get a change in scenery for a visit with their favorite people, YOU! Of course while they are here you want to wow them with all that the Queen City has to offer. Here are some activities to do or places to go to prove why the Queen City is the place to be or vist!
Go for an adult game of indoor putt-putt. Puttery and Stroke are both newer establishments that allow adults to tap into their inner-child through a game putt putt, while enjoying great eats and premium cocktails. Hang out at Optimist Hall or Plaza Midwood. Optimist Hall offers a variety of food shops to choose from, bars, restaurants, shopping, coffee, and has other great finds. You can surely make a full outing from visiting and you may even get to hear a band or other live music while you are there. Plaza Midwood offers an array of activities, restaurants, and more. You can throw in some friendly competition, and some semi-dangerous weapons, at BATL axe throwing or take the whole family to Seoul Food Meat Co.’s huge new restaurant, playground, dog park and karaoke bar.
Take a day or weekend trip to the mountains. Asheville is a quick two-hour drive from Charlotte. There is plenty to do and show your friends and family. The Biltmore and grounds including the winery, The Omni Grove Park Inn, antique shopping are a must do or anything in this guide. The fall foliage, and driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway will be worth the drive.
Camp North End is definitely worthy of a visit. This area evolved from an assembly plant neighborhood and now offers something for everybody, with plenty of food and beverage options and event venues, it’s a fun place to spend the day. Leah and Louise has sprung up in Charlotte as a #1 restaurant to visit. Don’t be surprised if when you visit that you roll up on a pop-up roller skating rink.
Spend a day in South Charlotte. South Charlotte is full of a variety of restaurants, bars, activity spots, shopping and more! Start your day with games at Queen Park Social. Walk over to Protagonist for pizza and beer for lunch. End the day at OMB with live music in the Biergarten starting at 5pm, and dinner at the Brauhaus. You will love
