The Charlotte area is a melting pot full of diverse people, culture, activities, ideas, traditions and so much more. The city is growing and always changing in what it has to offer regardless of whether you live here or are just visiting. Below are 3 attractions coming to the Charlotte area to experience.
Brazal Gallery Nightclub is a concept that will be completely different to the Charlotte area. Bazal has two distinct spaces: The Gallery and The Nightclub. Owner, Noi Chanthavong, created the concept to elevate the nightclub experience. He wanted to create access for people to experience outdoor music concerts, fashion shows, and partnership events with the surrounding tenants of the Music Factory. The gallery vibe is light with downtempo chill music playing in the background. There’s art from both local and national artists that will rotate out quarterly. For drinks, there will be craft cocktails and a high-end selection of liquors. The nightclub vibe is dark yet regal, resembling a Vegas big-room, nightclub. For music, top-40 hip-hop will be on full blast! Brazal is expected to open between May and June. Brazal is located in the Music Factory in what used to be the exclusive nightclub, Butter.
You may notice more color in Camp North End with the temporary arrival of Crayola’s IDEAworks exhibit. Charlotte is the second stop for the worldwide traveling tour, following its inaugural run at The Franklin Institute in Pennsylvania. Guests will navigate through an immersive experience as they go through through three zones and track their progress using a wristband that they receive at arrival. The zones are: The IDEA Workshop where visitors can pitch product ideas and come up with creative solutions; The Colorverse where guests can do anything from co-host a broadcast on Mars to create a digital piece of clothing; and the Grand Finale is where you’ll receive a customized summary of your creative strengths plus a sticker for your wristband. The exhibit primarily caters to ages 4-12 but is perfect for all members of the family. The exhibit is open now through the end of July.
Super Abari Game Bar had its soft opening on May 16th in the Belmont neighborhood at 1015 Seigle Ave, almost 2 years after the first Abari closed in 2020 as a result of the pandemic. The nearly 5,000-square-foot space has a bar, a “living room” lounge area and, of course, the main gaming space. There are 35 pinball machines, 60 arcade games and what Pulliam proclaims to be the world’s largest playable Nintendo Game Boy. Arcade games are $0.25 and pinball games are $0.50. At the bar, the selection ranges from PBR drafts to top-shelf liquor. There will be cold brew, root beer, energy drinks and mocktails. Gather your friends and play some games!
