Now that COVID restrictions are lessening, the entertainment venues and industry can get back to business. One of my favorite activities to do is to go to a live comedy show. There is nothing better than a night full of laughter to take you away from all that life has going on for a couple hours. Here are five comedy shows coming to the Queen City during 2022.
Kevin Hart: Reality Check. It’s been, what seems to be, four long years since Kevin Hart last took the stage for a comedy tour. It is super exciting to see him return to the stage for a night full of laughs and great content. The Reality Check tour will hit more than 30 cities throughout the U.S. this Summer. The tour will stop in Charlotte on September 11, 2022 at 7PM at the Spectrum Center.
No Remorse Comedy Tour. Actor and comedian, Mike Epps, is set to bring the laughs to Charlotte once again at the Ovens Auditorium, with the No Remorse Comedy Tour Saturday, April 9, 2022 @ 7PM. The tour will feature special guests Don C Curry and Jay Pharoah. Mike Epps is no stranger to the comedy stage. You are sure to have a night full of laughs.
Marc Maron: This May be the Last Time Tour 22 will take come to the Knights Theater on June 18, 2022 at 7PM. Marc Maron has four hit stand-up comedy specials – including “More Later” (2015) on Epix, and “Thinky Pain” (2013); Marc Maron: Too Real” (2017) and 2020’s “End Fun Times”, which was nominated for a 2021 Critics’ Choice Award, on Netflix. This will be an intimate night full of laughter.
George Lopez: OMG Hi! Comedy Tour was officially announced recently. The 30-date tour includes new markets as well as rescheduled shows from 2020 that were moved due to the pandemic. George Lopez is no amateur in the comedy world. He is a Grammy-nominated comedian, actor and TV host with an established resume over the years for making America and the World laugh. He takes the stage in Charlotte at the Ovens Auditorium on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 7PM.
Tommy Davidson, best known as one of the stars of the hit television show In Living Color, is coming to the Comedy Zone December 1-December 4, 2022 (see link for times). His visibility has allowed him to become a household name known for his innovative talent. Tommy Davidson’s exceptional range, from stand-up comedy and acting to versatile music accomplishments, have earned him a reputation as an extraordinary performer. You won’t be disappointed.
